i had a cat name zack that used to do that too :P its so adroable.

i wish she wasn't killed. she was such a gorgeous tiger :(

That is really sad. These are amazing animals. Let's hope the population has increased substantially for them to live in the wild instead of zoos

no she didn't deserve it :no: it happened very suddenly though. i mean when i took this, her and the male had been introduced a few times and they often chuffed or showed affection through the bars. none of the keepers were expecting it and by December they had been together more than 30 times without a growl.

tigers seem to be very complex :/

no absolutely now clue. it was a standard introduction, she was chuffing and he just suddenly pounced out of the blue. they immediately got him off and separated them but he had delivered a kill bite to her neck.
i personally think that it was because of age. Brytne was 13, he was 3. His inexperience might have triggered his reaction. He had no idea what to do with another tiger.

Thanks for telling me all these details. Incredibly sad. I guess that's a risk you have to take if you want to maintain the tiger species at all.

That's such a cute expression, her sticking her tongue out. So sad she passed away :(
